This instruction is provided only for Authorized User license. For Concurrent User instruction please follow the instruction described in\u00a0manual<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

licenseactivator allows you to authorize end-user computers without using the License Authorization Wizard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using licenseactivator with Authorization Codes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Windows<\/strong>:
    Open a command prompt\u00a0as administrator<\/strong>\u00a0and change directory to\u00a0 IBM SPSS product installation directory.\u00a0
    Mac OS<\/strong>
    Click on the \u201cGo\u201d menu and open \u201cUtilities\u201d. Inside the Utilities folder,\u00a0find the \u201cTerminal\u201d application. Double-click on the Terminal application to open it.
    Change directory to\u00a0 IBM SPSS product installation directory using “cd + path” command.\u00a0

    If you accepted the default location on:
    Windows<\/strong>, check the\u00a0C:\\Program Files\\IBM\\SPSS\\<product>\\<version>\\<\/em>\u00a0folder<\/li>

  3. Once you navigated to installation directory, perform activation<\/li>
  4. Windows<\/strong> licenseactivator <your-code>\u00a0 <\/code>Mac OS<\/strong> sudo .\/licenseactivator <your-code>\u00a0 <\/code>where\u00a0<your-code><\/kbd>\u00a0is your authorization code or license code.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When using authorization code, licenseactivator connect to the Internet, so you may need to specify proxy information (instruction below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When using license codes, licenseactivator does not connect to the Internet, so you do not need to specify proxy information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The proxy settings are optional, but you may need them if your computer is behind a proxy. Which<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    proxy settings are needed depend on your specific proxy configuration. You might need all of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PROXYHOST The server name or IP address of the proxy host<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PROXYPORT The port number for connecting to the Internet through the proxy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PROXYUSER If required, the user ID for the proxy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PROXYPASS If required, the password associated with the user ID<\/p>\n\n\n\n
